DMBF Building Plan

Blessed With a New Vision

God has blessed DMBF tremendously over the last 87 years. In addition to the fantastic and dedicated people of the congregation, the good Lord has chosen to bless us with certain physical assets which are preparing to finally maximize in the very near future. The purpose of this page is to help you see our vision and the direction we plan to go with regards to the building. We hope that if you do decide to join our fellowship you will embrace our vision, grab your hammer, and prepare yourself for action.

Same Building...New(er) Look

Six months ago, the Board of Elders along with the Board of Administration decided to consider DMBF a "church start" despite our 87 years of history. This was decided because adhering the the previous church vision would do nothing but place us in the unfortunate position of becoming a museum in Queen Creek, failing to meet the needs of the community surrounding us. We have enough museums, we need a healthy church with a desire to reach the lost and the hurting, compounded with the desire to equip believers to be ambassadors for Christ. We take this new challenge very seriously and are certain that God is directing our steps; even though at times they seem somewhat uncomfortable. The Board of Elders is committed to seeing this church grow and has the background and desire to put God's plan into action. We invite you along for a wonderful ride.

Blessed With Assets

Fortunately, God has blessed us with assets that we can bring to bear on our vision. God has blessed us with an expanse of property bordering a main road (Hunt Hwy), and two separate buildings. These buildings are definitely in need of repair; however, they are fully functional and are currently meeting the needs of the congregation. We have a fully equipped nursery, and possess the materials and curriculum (John MacArthur's Generations of Grace) for the older children. Our worship service includes computer driven PowerPoint presentations displayed to the congregation using an overhead LCD projector. Worship music is a compilation of iWorship DVD's and CD's with lyrics on the screen. Why am I mentioning these things? For this reason: In addition to the property, God has blessed us with the internal infrastructure necessary to present a quality worship service and education for our young people. Please understand that when we say "quality worship service" we don't mean that God would be displeased with the service if we lacked the A/V resources, after all Christ didn't use PowerPoint when He gave His "Olivet Discourse", we mean that we want to provide a reverent environment that is conducive to praise, prayer and the lesson presentation. However, our weak link is currently the condition of the buildings, which brings us to the next point: the building plan. At the bottom of the page you can see the dimensions of the property we have been given and can hopefully visualize the potential as clearly as we can.

The First Hurdle

This is where it all starts. It is our sincere hope and prayer that we can secure the necessary funding to have a "master plan" drawn up by an architect that will show us where our buildings will eventually be placed. This master plan will address such concerns as parking, plumbing and sewer, electrical needs, a new driveway from Hunt Highway, signage, a walled complex of several buildings with a large worship center, a ministry center, an office complex, a building with 10+ classrooms, and 2 efficiency apartments where missionaries can stay when visiting the US and possibly a place where abused mom's and kids can rest in safety while the gears judicial system come up to speed to protect them.

These and other points will be addressed in this valuable plan. Unfortunately this master plan costs right around $10,000 so we are having to wait to secure funding. After this plan has been developed we will be able to bring each building up in stages until the whole complex is complete. What about our historic church building? We have plans to relocate that into a new central courtyard where it will be converted into either a wedding chapel or a bookstore. We will renovate it to restore it to its 1921 grandeur. All we need is the Ingalls family and the effect would be complete!

In The Meantime...

We understand that the accumulation of the funding for our building project will take some time, unless of course, God intervenes in a miraculous way. However, as we wait for either option to occur we are working hard to refine our worship service, build up our ministries and grow as a family. We are looking for people who are tired of just blending into their church and instead are looking to make an eternal difference in a big way. We need people who can face challenges and have the desire to build ministries from the ground up. After we are up and running at full steam you will be able to look back on the ministries you built with pride (Godly pride - of course), remembering a time when there was just a handful of dedicated people who heeded God's call. Our immediate need is in the area of children's ministries. We have several children who would love an opportunity to learn from you. We are a church of action and we need people who will make the commitment to manifest their faith in Christ through service. It is our prayer that you will join us on a remarkable journey leaving the past behind and charging into the future with zeal.
