The Sunday Plan
On Sunday mornings we encourage parents to allow the children to remain in service for the opening songs. Afterwards, the children move into the fellowship hall for Sunday School (see Sunday School Curriculum below) and return after service. We certainly allow the children to remain in the service if it is the parents wish.
Even though the children are less than fifty feet from their parents, we do have a nursery alert system so parents can rest assured that their child can reach them if necessary. This ensures the parent's peace-of-mind and allows the parents to enjoy service in a relaxed manner.
Sunday School Curriculum
We spent a great deal of time researching Sunday School curriculum, and believe us when we say, there is quite a bit out there. Some good - and many not so good. After a thorough evaluation by our Children's Director, our Pastor/Elders. DMBF decided on a Sunday School program developed by John MacArthur's Grace Community Church. We feel confident that our children will walk away with sound Biblical doctrine. Please read through this page and be sure to click on the link below to visit the Generations of Grace website.
From the Generations of Grace website:
Generations of Grace is a biblically based and God-centered curriculum designed for children three years old through the sixth grade. Over a three-year period, this curriculum covers the Old Testament historical books, the life of Christ, and lessons from Acts and Revelation.
Every week, children in each age range learn from the same passage of Scripture in a way that is appropriate for their respective age levels. We call this a "unified curriculum." A unified curriculum enables families to discuss one passage together each week, reinforcing the lesson that children have learned in Sunday School.
Generations of Grace is unique in its design to encourage a high degree of interaction between student and teacher. For students in the elementary grades, the Bible lessons are written in a question-and-answer format. This ensures that students participate in and understand each lesson. We have also included key truths, objectives, and application points to the beginning of each lesson to help teachers clearly understand what they want their students to learn. Furthermore, we have provided ideas and activities that will increase the students' understanding and recall of the lesson.

Outdoor Time
The church has a fenced in grass lawn where the children can play in a safe controlled environment. On cooler days, we roll out the BBQ, move the tables outside and enjoy picnic lunches after service on the first Sunday of the month.
Nursery Facilities
We have a fully equipped nursery for the young ones. A quiet place for nursing moms and a safe place for the children to play.
